Business Bio and Background
Tahira K.E. Wilson-Guillermo, M.Ed. believes in living creatively, spiritually, and holistically.
As a former dancer and intermittent Transcendental Meditation mediator, starting with her Kirkland/Hamilton college years, Tahira lives true to inner life wellness and development.
Inspired by over 30 years of Mindfulness research she became aware of as an educator, Tahira also honed in on the healing benefits of affinity groups since beginning DEI work at Shady Hill School, Cambridge, MA in 1994.
Tahira became a Certified Mindfulness instructor from Mindful Schools in 2016.
She practices with a DEI lens as former Director of Multicultural Practice and Inclusion at Shady Hill School Cambridge, MA and currently an Academic and Mindfulness Coach at the Park School, Brookline, MA. Tahira became known as the ‘Mindfulness Guru’ in these settings as well as in her private practice.
Tahira’s all-age-engaged experience includes: mindfulness integration when tutoring kids in Pre-K – 8 classrooms, presentations at educational professional development workshops, health fairs, participation at retreats requiring days of silent meditation, advancing mindfulness curriculum, and teaching Monk & Mindfulness founder, Master Tich Nhat Han’s “10 Mindful Moments.”
Tahira’s motivation to expand her learning and wellness practice occurred during her coursework and upon completion of American Fitness Professionals & Associates’ Holistic Nutrition Certification in March 2021. Hence, the startup of her business.
Tahira is also a passionate creative writer and burgeoning author. She is married, has two adult children and a large loving family.
